Member Parties of the Union


The Dartmouth Political Union currently recognizes five member parties. Listed from left to right, they are:


The Socialists, represent a progressive viewpoint in Union debates and discussions. They are currently headed by Igor Terzic, a member of the Dartmouth Class of 2012.

 


The Liberal Party, often referred to as the Libs, are sponsored by the Dartmouth College Democrats, one of only two parties to be supported by a partner organization. The Liberals are currently led by Tay Stevenson, a member of the Dartmouth Class of 2010.

 


The Centrist Party represents the views of those students who adhere to no extreme left- or right-of-center ideology. The Centrists are currently led by Mary Katherine Flanigan, amember of the Dartmouth Class of 2009.

 


The Libertarians are sponsored by their partner organization, the Dartmouth College Libertarians. They are currently led by Scot T. Parsley, a member of the Dartmouth class of 2009.

 


The Conservative Party represents a right-of-center viewpoint in Union debates and discussions. The Conservatives are currently led by Travis Blalock, a member of the Dartmouth Class of 2012.


 

 

 

 

 

 




The DPU is a debating society at Dartmouth College, which brings together students of five different organizations as well as the unaffiliated students who may attend Union meetings and continue...

The May 5 resolution reads:
